I was heading up to the upper french (WASAJHSK COTTAGES) on jun23 to jun30!!! Was looking to get a update on the the fishing for walleyes, obviously i am back now and very happy with the fishing this year!!! Good amount of walleye above the slot, only kept 2 for a fish fry and the rest went back including a 52" musky my 15 year old son caught on a jig and worm!!!

First let me respell the cottages, it is Wajashk cottages, they are located across from Chadiuere lodge on the hospitable Dokis Indian reservation!! If you dont mind bringing your own food and gear and want to do your own thing this is the place to go. Very reasonable rates with everthing you need to access the beautiful french river!!!

I have stayed at Wajashk Cottages several times in the past and would recommend it.
